ADULTING 101: Why I Chose to Have a Smaller House?

Hi! Let's chat about why I decided to go for a smaller house in Bulacan, in a place that's not prone to flooding. You know, it's not about squeezing into a tiny space or missing out on comfort. It's actually a pretty cool choice, and I'll tell you why.

I purchased just a small house in Bulacan, in a place that is not prone to flooding because I wanted to have peace of mind when I'm away from home. And you know what? It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Ano ba yung mga realizations ko after Tiny Living for almost 6 years?

Less Stuff, Less Stress

When you have a smaller house, you're naturally inclined to have fewer possessions. And let me tell you, having fewer things to worry about is a game-changer. Cleaning becomes a breeze, and you spend less time searching for stuff. It's all about simplicity.

Lower Expenses

Having a smaller house typically means lower bills. Smaller spaces are more energy-efficient, and you don't need as much stuff to fill them up. That translates to more money in your pocket for the things you really love. If you are living in a subdivision, mas mababa pa ang monthly dues.

Cozy and Intimate:

A smaller house feels cozier and more intimate. It's like creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can truly relax. Plus, you get to enjoy a sense of togetherness with your loved ones.

Eco-Friendly:

Living in a smaller house has a smaller environmental footprint. You use fewer resources, which is great for our planet. It's a way of living that aligns with a more sustainable lifestyle. Iniisip ko rin to, bakit ba? :)

Focus on What Matters:

With less space, you're encouraged to focus on what truly matters to you. You become more mindful of the things, experiences, and people that bring you joy. It's a bit like Marie Kondo-ing your life! Di ka rin natutukso to buy things na later on eh regret lang coz di naman pala necessity.

Financial Freedom:

Having a smaller house can free up your finances. You might save money on your mortgage or rent, and that means more financial flexibility. It opens up possibilities for travel, hobbies, or pursuing your dreams. Actually eto talaga, mas mabilis mong mababayaran ang property mo.

Less Maintenance:

A smaller house equals less maintenance. Mas madaming floor ang bahay, mas madami nasisira and more ang aayusin. You spend less time fixing things, which gives you more time to do the things you love. It's a win-win situation.

Creativity and Design:

Designing a smaller space can be a lot of fun. You get to be creative and make the most of every square inch. It's like solving a delightful puzzle!

These are some of the reasons why I opted for a smaller house. It's all about simplifying life, reducing stress, and focusing on the things that truly matter. It's not about having less; it's about having more of what truly makes you happy.
