CRASH LANDING ON YOU: A too late reaction | quick review and why i was unexpectedly hooked?

Eto nga po: I've never been much of a drama series fanatic. They always seemed a bit too intense or overly predictable for my taste. That is until a certain Korean comedy romance series burst onto the scene – "Crash Landing on You."

Now, I know what you're thinking – another K-drama craze? But hold on, this one's different, and it's got me hooked for a whole week straight. Let me break it down for you.

First off, let's give credit where it's due – the casting for this series is spot on. The characters come to life in a way that had even someone like me, who's not usually into drama, invested in their stories.

But here's what really grabbed my attention: the timing. "Crash Landing on You" couldn't have come at a more fitting moment. 

In this scene: The normal modest life in the province,
as well as the traditional method of preparing Kimchi.

North Korea was making headlines, and this series took the opportunity to explore the Hermit Kingdom. The isolation of the country provided the perfect backdrop for a gripping plot.

The story revolves around Seri, a successful South Korean businesswoman who accidentally lands in North Korea during a paragliding mishap. Her initial goal? To escape the stress of her power-hungry half-brothers and their struggle for control over their father's company. But boy, does her escape plan go haywire!

In North Korea, she crosses paths with a handsome but stoic soldier who chooses to save her rather than report her presence.

What follows is a delightful comedy-romance as they navigate the tricky waters of North Korean society. Oh, did I mention he's engaged to someone else and comes from a high-ranking military family? Yep, things get complicated.

So, what makes this series stand out for me? It's straightforward, yet full of unexpected twists. No beating around the bush here – the plot keeps you engaged without unnecessary delays. The acting feels natural, and it's all about conveying emotions through actions, making it incredibly relatable.

These characters provide so much life to this fantastic Korean series. 

From anger to comedy, "Crash Landing on You" strikes the right balance. The comedic moments are genuinely funny, the emotional scenes tug at your heartstrings, and the suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat (parang ganun, sensya na na-hook eh).

The writing is top-notch, leaving you completely unaware of how the hours fly by. You'll find yourself saying, "Just one more episode," and before you know it, you've binged half the series.

Now, let me share my top three favorite scenes:

1. The Clams and Soju Scene:

It's a heartwarming moment where Seri and her newfound friends enjoy a simple meal by a bonfire. It's a reminder that life's essentials include good food, friendship, and laughter. 

2. The Father & Son Scene:

A confrontation between Seri and Capt. Ri's father & Captain Ri and his father, filled with both comedy and heartfelt emotion. It's a beautiful portrayal of parental love and the unbreakable bond between two people. 

3. A Mother's Confession and the Cross Border: 

This is the scene where Seri's stepmom reveals Captain Ri's sacrifices while she was in a coma. The cross-border dash is incredibly emotional and showcases their unwavering love.

COMMUTING: Paano pumunta sa San Fernando, Pampanga PAGIBIG Fund Office?

If you're planning to visit the PAGIBIG Fund office in San Fernando, Pampanga, and you're coming from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, you're in the right place! Commuting may seem a bit challenging, but I've got your back with a step-by-step guide on how to get there hassle-free.

Starting Point: Starmall San Jose del Monte or Tungko Your journey begins at Starmall San Jose del Monte or Tungko, and you're just a few rides away from reaching your destination. 

Step 1: Starmall to SJDM City Hall First, head to SJDM City Hall. You can hop on a jeepney, and the fare should be around 16 pesos. The City Hall is a common point for various routes, making it a convenient starting point for your trip. 

Step 2: SJDM City Hall to NLEX Bocaue Exit At SJDM City Hall, wait for an Agila bus that's bound for Manila. These red buses are easy to spot. They'll take you closer to your destination. The fare is approximately 25 pesos. You'll need to get off before the bus reaches the Bocaue Exit on NLEX. 

Step 3: Alight Before Bocaue Exit Keep an eye out for your stop and signal the conductor to let you off before the bus reaches the Bocaue Exit. This is an important step to avoid overshooting your destination. 

Step 4: Bocaue Exit to SM San Fernando by UV Express Once you've alighted from the Agila bus, you'll find an UV terminal nearby. Hop on an FX bound for SM San Fernando. The fare for this ride is around 100 pesos as of 2023. UV vehicles are known for their comfort, making your journey more pleasant. 

Step 5: SM San Fernando to Jeepney to Bayan | Palengke Upon reaching SM San Fernando, you're almost there! From SM, find a jeepney that's going to "byaheng Bayan" or "Palengke." Jeepney fare should be around 12 pesos. 

Step 6: Ask the Driver to Drop You at the Terminal Before you board the jeepney, inform the driver that you want to go to the terminal for jeepneys heading to Maimpis, PAGIBIG Office, and the Suburbia Building. Most drivers are friendly and will help you get to your destination.

Step 7: Arrival at PAGIBIG Fund San Fernando, Pampanga Finally, you'll arrive at the terminal near the PAGIBIG office in Maimpis. You can easily spot the Suburbia Building.

Just pay your fare, thank the driver, and you're all set to handle your PAGIBIG Fund transactions. That's it! You've successfully navigated the commute from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, to PAGIBIG Fund San Fernando, Pampanga.
